Birthdays and anniversaries are good occasions to make a special film for a special person or couple, but don't wait: the best time to capture a memory is now. Here are a few ideas for your own Family Story:

  • Often we are commissioned by the storyteller to produce a unique gift for other family members or friends.
  • Family members may commission a film as a gift for their grandparents, parents or friends. In this case we have gift vouchers to allow the film to be shot at a mutually convenient time.
  • Friends or colleagues often club together to record a greetings film to commemorate a special occasion, achievement or award.
  • Sometimes we produce films that record a ‘milestone’ in a younger person’s life, for example 'coming of age', or time spent travelling or working abroad. This records immediate reactions, while memories are fresh
  • Friends and family sometimes simply want to produce a film as a lasting tribute or memoir of a much loved person.
  • A family diary of the past year is also very popular, a "Christmas Letter" film to loved ones far away.
  • The family home or garden may be the subject of the film, complete with pets.
  • Last but not least, we make film montages, where a series of photos are filmed together, without commentary but with a soundtrack, capturing a whole life in images.  These five to ten minute films are wonderful introductions for special parties, from 10 year olds to 90 year olds.

You tell us what memories you would like to keep safe for the future!
